Because our invitations are exclusively
made-to-order the process of designing
your invitation is a bit more intensive
then just picking something from a book.
First, we can schedule a face to face
meeting if it is convenient for you,
but it works just as well to conduct our
meetings over the phone and email.
The initial consultation is free of charge
and non-committal. We'll discuss all the
important points of your event, your
color requirements, printing options and
budget. If you decide to move forward
with Shindig we'll take a small deposit
and get to work on your design.
Based on the information we collect during
our initial meeting Shindig will design two
proofs for your invitation. The proofs will
be sent as PDF files via email. If you
require an actual sample we can absolutely
provide you with that for a small fee.

Giving you two design options allows you
to better visualize the wide range of design
elements afforded to you, and also gives
you two different pricing options.
From your proofs you can either choose
one design or where ever possible
combine elements from both. We'll make
the edits and send you a revised proof.
It is important to be very thorough when
instructing us of your preferred changes,
as once the second proof goes out to you,
it marks the end of the design process.
Text edits can be made as long as they
are necessary.
When all the proofreading is complete and
you approve your design, it will go into
production. The entire design and
production process usually takes between
6-8 weeks. There are definite exceptions
especially for smaller jobs |
